Padma Shri awardee Dr. Hans is one of India’s most respected ENT specialists, renowned globally for his groundbreaking contributions to otology, cochlear implants, and voice & airway surgery. A pioneer in his field, Dr. Hans played a key role in establishing advanced ENT and cochlear implant programs across India and neighbouring countries. He has performed 3,500+ cochlear implant surgeries, making him one of the highest-volume implant surgeons in Asia. He has also been an advisor to WHO, AIISH, NPPCD, UPSC, and multiple national health committees, contributing significantly to public health and medical innovation.

Dr. Hans is widely recognised for his expertise in microsurgery of the ear, endoscopic sinus surgery, voice and phonosurgery, skull base surgery, and tracheal reconstruction.
