Dr. J S Kumar

Dr. J S Kumar is a distinguished Consultant in Diabetology with over 19 years of experience in the field. He obtained his MBBS from Trivandrum Medical College, University of Kerala, followed by an MD in Internal Medicine from Sri Ramachandra Medical College. Further enhancing his expertise, Dr. Kumar earned a Graduate Diploma in Diabetes Care from the University of New Castle, Australia.

Throughout his career, Dr. Kumar has held esteemed academic positions, including Assistant Professor at Sri Ramachandra Medical College and Associate Professor at SRM Medical College. He also served as a Consultant Diabetologist at Apollo Sugar Clinic. Currently, he is a Consultant in the Department of Diabetology at SIMS Hospital, Chennai, where he specializes in managing diabetes and related endocrine disorders.

Dr. Kumar is an active member of several professional organizations, including the American Diabetes Association, the European Association for the Study of Diabetes, and the Diabetic Foot Society of India. His commitment to the field is further demonstrated by his role as Associate Dean (PG Academics) at SRM Medical College Hospital and Research Centre, where he oversees postgraduate academic programs.
