Dr. Gursel Remzi Soybir

Prof. Dr. Gürsel Remzi Soybir is a distinguished General Surgery Specialist renowned for his expertise in breast and thyroid surgeries. With over 38 years of experience, he has significantly contributed to the field through both clinical practice and academic involvement. He has held prominent positions, including Head of the General Surgery Department at Namık Kemal University Faculty of Medicine.

His international training includes esteemed institutions such as MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas, and Nottingham City Hospital in the UK, where he specialized in breast cancer diagnosis and screening. Prof. Soybir has been instrumental in introducing and advancing oncoplastic and endoscopic breast surgery techniques in Turkey.
