Dr. Georgi Abraham

Dr. Georgi Abraham is a globally recognized nephrologist, humanitarian, and educator with 40 years of clinical and academic excellence. He has held esteemed positions as Professor at Sri Ramachandra Medical College (1996–2008), Pondicherry Institute of Health Sciences (2008–2020), and Director of Nephrology at Madras Medical Mission Hospital. Currently, he serves as Professor and Senior Consultant in Nephrology at MGM Healthcare, Chennai.

His clinical expertise encompasses home peritoneal dialysis (CAPD/APD), hemodialysis, kidney transplantation, and the management of chronic kidney disease-mineral bone disorder (CKD-MBD) and nutrition. Dr. Abraham is the Founder President of the Peritoneal Dialysis Society of India and has been instrumental in establishing the country's first CAPD program.

A visionary leader, he founded the Tamilnad Kidney Research (TANKER) Foundation in 1993, a charitable trust dedicated to providing care and support to underprivileged kidney disease patients. His commitment to advancing nephrology is further evidenced by his roles as:
