Dr. Chandy has served as a research volunteer at Jesse Brown VA Hospital in Chicago, USA, and has held consultant positions at prominent hospitals in Mumbai before joining Sir H. N. Reliance Foundation Hospital and Research Centre.

Throughout his career, Dr. Chandy has been actively involved in medical research and education. He was a key member of the infectious diseases team that managed H1N1 influenza cases in Nagpur in 2009 and has been recognized with awards such as the Best Junior Teacher Award and Best Oral Presentation at ISPAE 2015 and ISBMR 2016. His special interests include bone mineral density analysis and the interpretation of ELISA, radio-immunoassay, and immunoradiometric assays.
