Dr. Bipin Vibhute

Dr. Bipin Vibhute is a renowned multi-organ and liver transplant surgeon based in Pune. He is currently associated with Sahyadri Hospital as the Program Director and Head of the Center for Organ Transplants. His expertise includes deceased donor liver transplantation, living donor liver transplantation, combined kidney-pancreas transplants, and complex HPB surgeries for both adults and children.

Dr. Vibhute began his transplant career at Apollo Chennai, where he worked in a team and contributed to over 700+ transplants, including liver, kidney, pancreas, and small bowel transplants, over a span of 7 years. In 2016, he returned to Maharashtra and joined Sahyadri Hospital, where he established the organ transplant program. Under his leadership, the hospital has become the third-largest organ transplant center in India.

Dr. Vibhute's remarkable achievements include being the first to introduce free liver transplants for underprivileged pediatric patients up to 12 years old in India. His contributions have earned him multiple awards, including the Guinness World Record for maximum organ donation pledges in 8 hours. Additionally, he holds records for performing transplants on recipients ranging from a 7-month-old infant to a 71-year-old patient.
