Dr. Bingur Sonmez

Dr. Bingur Sonmez is a highly esteemed cardiovascular surgeon with nearly 49 years of experience in the field. He completed his medical education at Istanbul University Faculty of Medicine in 1976 and specialized in cardiovascular surgery in 1984. His pursuit of excellence led him to London, where he served as a Heart Surgery Assistant at St. Thomas Hospital and as a Research Assistant at the Rayne Institute in 1984.

Throughout his illustrious career, Dr. Sonmez has held prominent positions, including Head of the Department of Coronary Surgery at Florence Nightingale Hospital and Head of the Surgical Departments at Kadir Has University Medical Faculty. Since 2001, he has been leading the Cardiovascular Surgery Department at Memorial Sisli Hospital in Istanbul.

His contributions to the field are substantial, with over 211 scientific publications focusing on various aspects of cardiovascular surgery, including endovascular procedures and surgical treatments.
