Dr. Atul T. Ursekar is a highly esteemed ophthalmologist renowned for his expertise in vitreoretinal diseases and surgeries. He completed his MBBS, D.O.M.S., and M.S. (Ophthalmology) at Seth G.S. Medical College and K.E.M. Hospital, Mumbai. Further enhancing his specialization, he pursued a vitreoretinal fellowship at Sankara Nethralaya, Chennai, and a fellowship in Retinal Service at Manhattan Eye, Ear & Throat Hospital, New York, USA.

With a rich experience spanning over three decades, Dr. Ursekar has been associated with prestigious institutions such as Jaslok Hospital and Research Centre and Masina Hospital in Mumbai. His areas of expertise include phacoemulsification cataract surgery with monofocal and multifocal lenses, lasers for medical retina (addressing conditions like diabetic retinopathy), vitreoretinal surgeries for both basic and complex cases, and refractive laser surgery.

Dr. Ursekar has actively participated in numerous national and international research studies and has contributed to various peer-reviewed journals. He is also a registered teacher for ophthalmology residents for the Diplomate of National Board Examination at Jaslok Hospital & Research Centre, Mumbai.
