Dr. Anil Saxena

Dr. Anil Saxena is the Executive Director of the Cardiac Pacing and Electrophysiology Department at Fortis Escorts Heart Institute. He is an internationally renowned expert in the field of cardiac arrhythmias and electrophysiology. Since joining Fortis Escorts in 1989, Dr. Saxena has played a pivotal role in establishing the department of Cardiac Electrophysiology.

He is a pioneer in the implantation of ICDs and biventricular pacemakers in India and has accumulated one of the most extensive experiences in this domain. With over 35 years of expertise, he has successfully performed thousands of complex electrophysiological procedures and catheter ablations for various cardiac arrhythmias.

Dr. Saxena has also held esteemed positions, including serving as the Past President of the Indian Heart Rhythm Society and the Chairman of the Web and Arrhythmia Subcommittee of the Asia-Pacific Heart Rhythm Society. In addition to his clinical practice, he has contributed significantly to research and academics as an Associate Editor of the PACE Journal and Chief Editor of the APHRS Newsletter.
