Dr. Amit Javed

Dr. (Prof.) Amit Javed is a highly experienced Gastrointestinal, GI Oncology, Bariatric & Minimal Access Surgeon with over 25 years of clinical expertise. He leads the Department of GI, GI Oncology, Bariatric, and Minimally Invasive Surgery at Fortis Memorial Research Institute, Gurugram, and is known for his skill in complex abdominal, cancer, and weight-loss surgical procedures.

Dr. Javed has trained at premier institutes in India and abroad, including PGIMER (Chandigarh) and AIIMS (New Delhi), and has also held academic and clinical roles at UCSF (USA) and Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (USA). He is FACS-qualified (Fellow of the American College of Surgeons) and is certified by ECFMG (USA).

Dr. Javed is an active researcher and educator with 50+ publications in national and international journals and textbooks. He has been invited as faculty at numerous national and international surgical conferences and has described several innovative surgical techniques in peer-reviewed literature. Dr. Javed combines advanced surgical expertise with a compassionate, patient-focused approach. He emphasizes minimally invasive techniques, tailored treatment planning, and multidisciplinary collaboration to achieve optimal outcomes in both cancer care and metabolic surgery.
