Dr. Amit Javed is a renowned expert in Gastrointestinal Surgery, Gastrointestinal Cancer, and Bariatric/Weight Loss Surgery with over 25 years of experience. He has received extensive training from premier medical institutions in India and abroad. Dr. Javed completed his MBBS from Kasturba Medical College, Manipal, followed by an MS in General Surgery and Senior Residency at the prestigious Post Graduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER), Chandigarh. He further pursued an M.Ch in Gastrointestinal Surgery from the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi. He is ECFMG certified and has been awarded the prestigious FACS degree by the American College of Surgeons in San Francisco, USA.

Dr. Javed has been a faculty member at the Department of GI Surgery at GB Pant Institute of Post Graduate Medical Education and Research, New Delhi, where he trained numerous GI surgeons. Additionally, he has served as an Assistant Professor at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF), USA, contributing to abdominal transplant surgeries, including liver, pancreas, and kidney transplants. He has also worked in thoracic oncology at the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (MSKCC), New York, USA.

Dr. Javed has headed the Department of GI Surgery, GI Oncosurgery, and Bariatric Surgery at several leading hospitals, including Fortis Hospital Shalimar Bagh, Fortis Hospital Vasant Kunj, and CK Birla Hospital, New Delhi. He is an avid researcher with over 50 articles published in international and national journals and textbooks. He has also contributed significantly to the advancement of innovative surgical techniques.
