Dr. Ameet Kishore

Dr. (Prof) Ameet Kishore is a distinguished ENT and Neurotologic Surgeon with over 25 years of experience in both pediatric and adult ENT care. A graduate of the Armed Forces Medical College (AFMC) in Pune, he was awarded the medal for excellence in ENT. He pursued advanced surgical training in the UK, earning Fellowships from the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh and the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow.

Specializing in microscopic ear surgery, neuro-otology, cochlear implants, endoscopic sinus surgery, and pediatric ENT, Dr. Kishore received specialized training at esteemed centers across the UK, Europe, and the USA. Notably, since 1995, he has been associated with the National Centre for Cochlear Implantation in the UK, providing him with extensive expertise in managing deafness and performing cochlear implantations.

At Indraprastha Apollo Hospital, Dr. Kishore established and leads the cochlear and hearing implant program for both children and adults, with over 1,800 successful cochlear implant recipients to date. His team is particularly adept at handling complex cochlear cases and operates the only active program in North India for Auditory Brainstem Implantation. Additionally, the program offers Bone Anchored Hearing Aids (BAHA), Bonebridge, and Vibrant Soundbridge middle ear implants as solutions for patients with hearing loss.

Dr. Kishore's expertise also encompasses advanced endoscopic procedures, including orbital decompression, optic nerve decompression, dacryocystorhinostomy (DCR), endoscopic closure of cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) leaks, and endoscopic pituitary tumor surgery. His proficiency in pediatric ENT was further honed during his tenure at the Royal Hospital for Sick Children in Glasgow, enabling him to manage both common and complex ENT conditions in children.

Beyond his clinical practice, Dr. Kishore has contributed significantly to academia, authoring six book chapters and over 30 articles in peer-reviewed journals, and delivering numerous presentations at national and international conferences. His dedication to advancing ENT care is evident through his active involvement in medical education and research.
