Dr. Amar Al Omar

Dr. Amar Al-Omar is a highly experienced Senior Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon at Medcare Orthopaedics and Spine Hospital, Dubai, with around 30 years of expertise in orthopaedic surgery, sports medicine, arthroscopic procedures, and joint replacement reconstruction. He is widely recognized for managing a broad spectrum of bone, joint, ligament, tendon, and sports-related injuries, with particular subspeciality interest in shoulder and knee sports injuries, arthroscopic/keyhole procedures, and primary as well as complex hip and knee replacement surgery.

Dr. Al-Omar has built an international career across Jordan, the United Kingdom, and the UAE. A significant part of his professional journey includes work in multiple NHS hospitals in the West Midlands and South West England, including university teaching hospitals. Before this, he underwent orthopaedic and trauma surgery training and practice at a university teaching hospital in Jordan. This multinational clinical exposure has strengthened his expertise in treating both straightforward and highly complex orthopaedic conditions.

Clinically, Dr. Al-Omar is known for his work in sports injury management, particularly in the shoulder and knee.
