Dr. Ali Asgar Behranwala

Dr. Ali Asgar Behranwala is a distinguished Cardiothoracic and Vascular Surgeon with over two decades of experience. He completed his MBBS from B J Medical College in 1990 and MS in General Surgery from M R Medical College in 1994. Pursuing further specialization, he earned a Diploma in Hospital Administration in 1997 and MCh in CVTS from B J Medical College in 1999.

Dr. Behranwala's professional journey includes significant roles at prestigious institutions such as J.J. Hospital, Bhabha Atomic Research Centre Hospital, V.N. Desai Hospital, Tata Memorial Hospital, Ruby Hall Clinic (Pune), and Poona Chest Hospital (Pune). Internationally, he has served as a Clinical Fellow in Paediatric Cardiac Surgery at the Royal Hospital for Sick Children in Edinburgh, Specialist Registrar in Cardiothoracic Surgery at the Royal Infirmary Hospital in Edinburgh, and Specialist Registrar in Paediatric Cardiothoracic Surgery at Alder Hey Children's Hospital in Liverpool.

A pioneer in his field, Dr. Behranwala performed the first robotic coronary artery bypass surgery in India. He regularly participates in workshops, training courses, symposia, and conferences both nationally and internationally to stay abreast of the latest advancements in cardiothoracic and vascular surgery. His commitment to research is evident through his numerous publications and presentations at various conferences. Additionally, he is dedicated to teaching and training medical students, house officers, nurse surgical assistants, and surgical trainees.
