Dr. Vijay Sharma

Dr. Vijay Sharma is a highly experienced Paediatric Neurologist and Child Development Specialist with more than 35 years of expertise in diagnosing and treating a wide range of neurological, developmental, and pediatric disorders in children. He is widely recognized for his patient centered approach and extensive international experience, having spent over two decades practicing and teaching in the United Kingdom before returning to India to advance pediatric neurology services.

After completing his MD in Paediatrics from Patna Medical College & Hospital, Dr. Sharma pursued advanced pediatric training in the United Kingdom, earning prestigious qualifications including MRCP (UK), CCST, MSc in Child Health (UK), and FRCPCH (UK). He completed the full UK Paediatric Consultant Training Programme with a special interest in Paediatric Neurology and served as a Senior Consultant Paediatrician with Paediatric Neurology specialization at The Mid Yorkshire Hospitals NHS Trust for 18 years. He also held distinguished academic and leadership roles as the College Tutor of the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health (RCPCH) and Vice Chair of the UK Assessment Board, responsible for evaluating senior pediatric trainees for consultant level practice.

Currently serving as Associate Director & Head - Paediatric Neurology and Child Development at the Asian Institute of Medical Sciences, Faridabad, Dr. Sharma has established a comprehensive multidisciplinary Child Development Centre dedicated to providing advanced neurological and developmental care for children. His areas of expertise include autism spectrum disorder, ADHD, epilepsy, cerebral palsy, neuromuscular disorders, developmental delays, genetic and metabolic neurological conditions, and general pediatric neurological disorders.
