Dr. Randeep Guleria

Dr. Randeep Guleria is one of India’s most respected names in Pulmonary Medicine, Internal Medicine, Respiratory Medicine, Critical Care and Sleep Medicine. He currently serves as Chairman of the Institute of Internal Medicine, Respiratory and Sleep Medicine at Medanta, Gurugram, and is also the Director of Medanta Medical School. He is widely recognized for his pioneering contribution to respiratory medicine in India and is noted by Medanta as the first doctor to complete D.M. in Pulmonary Medicine, Critical Care and Sleep Medicine.

Before joining Medanta, Dr. Guleria had a distinguished career at All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi, where he served as Director for around 5 and a half years. He was also the Professor and Head of Pulmonary Medicine and Sleep Disorders at AIIMS, New Delhi. His leadership has been especially important in the development of pulmonary medicine, critical care services and sleep disorder management in India.

Dr. Guleria played a major national role during the COVID-19 pandemic as a Member of the National Task Force and Empowered Group for the Government of India for COVID-19. His expertise in respiratory diseases, infectious respiratory illness, intensive care and public health communication made him one of the most recognized medical voices during the pandemic period.
